Lizzys Glamping Site is lucky enough to be located in what is arguably one of the best visitor destinations in Ireland, situated in the centre of the County we are the ideal base to explore all the riches and beauty that Clare has to offer.

Lizzy’s is in the middle of the stunning Clare countryside.

We offer an incredibly safe environment that is small and compact so children can run free on the grounds and enjoy the nearby playground area.

At Lizzy’s we always strive to make all of our guests feel special and have a wonderful stay.

We are in easy reach of a number of activities and days out.

The Glamping Lodges

  • Each Glamping Lodge boasts proper beds, luxury Bed linen.
  • Shabby chic furniture,
  • Smart heating system, electricity & Free WiFi
  • A kitchenette which is fully stocked. suitable for preparing light meals
    • French Press Coffee Machine with complimentary ground coffee.
    • Small fridge / Kettle / toaster / sink /Microwave.
  • Blankets for sitting outside.
  • Outside Each Lodge there is a sheltered patio area with Gas BBQ, Utensils, and private seating area. If you prefer to not cook there is the famous Fanny O Dea’s Bar & Restaurant on your door step.
  • You also have your own outdoor wood burning stove and your very own wood burning Hot Tub we start you off with 3 Large Bags of firewood (extra can be purchased as you need it). Please try to be reasonable with the amount of wood you use – it’s expensive!

Days out

Lizzy’s Glamping  site is nestled in the heart of the Clare countryside making days out exploring the riches of the county really easy and accessible. You’ll find much of interest in the vicinity of Lizzy’s Glamping.

Explore!

The Estuary Way drive or the beautiful cascades looped walk or the local ecology park.

West

Going west, head for the seaside resorts of Kilkee, Spanish Point and Doonbeg or explore the beauty of the Loop Head Peninsula.

North

Going North, the Famous Cliffs of Moher, The Burren, Doolin or The Alliawee Caves are must sees.

East

In the East of the county, you will find treasures like Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, Mountshannon, Killaloe & beautiful Lough Derg.

The Glamping Lodges

Each Glamping Lodge boasts a full sized double bed, luxury linen, shabby chic furniture, smart heating, electricity & kitchenette.

The additional bedding is from the natural mat company. The mattresses are stuffed with recycled jeans and organic lamb’s wool and covered with washable cotton ticking.

Although there are no toilets & showers within the Lodges they are within close a 20 second walk from your door.

Outside Each Lodge there is a sheltered patio  area complete with wood burning stove and your very own wood burning Hot Tub , BBQ  and  private seating area.

If you prefer to not cook there is the our Restaurant is located on your door step.

Check in time is 3pm. Arrived early? No worries! you’ll just have to chill in our award winning Beer Garden with a glass of prosecco, Sorry! Check out time is 12 noon.

Supplies

We supply Luxury Bed Linen (ie mattress, sheets, duvet & pillows’ Please bring your own Towels.

Smoke Free

We have a strong no smoking policy within the pods. If smoking occurs in the pods guests will be fined with a soilage and cleaning charge on top of their bill.

Noise Policy

Please note we have a low noise policy on the site from 11pm to 8am. Strictly No music or loud socialising after this time.

Pet

At the moment Lizzy’s is not pet friendly. But watch this space!

Inspection

Careful inspection of each accommodation is carried out after each guest checks out, Guests will be charged for cost of damage, breakages, repairs and cleaning costs to any soiled areas.

Car-free

Cars to remain in the parking area with the exception of unloading and packing up, so guests can enjoy the space car-free

Children

Children must be supervised at ALL times by parents/guardians

What is good to know?

  • You can order one of our Uncooked Breakfast Hampers, 24 horas before, consisting of rashers, sausages, Eggs Mushrooms/Tomatoes. Fresh Orange Juice, Milk Our Homemade Brown Bread, Butter & Honey all locally sourced.
  • Bacon/egg/sausage white floury bap, freshly baked pastries and tea/coffee delivered to guests door each morning for an additional charge.
  • Vegetarian & vegan options available, upon request.

The perfect kick-start to the day!

During your stay you will have full access to our Stretch tent open air space, feel free to play cards, read a book, table or just to relax in.

The wash house containing loos and showers is located adjacent to the Glamping area, which is furnished with mirrors, good lighting, clothes-hooks and hair-dryers.

  • Insect repellent during summer months in case the midges are about, though they rarely bother you up the high!
  • Antihistamine if you suffer from hay fever as we are in the wilderness!
  • Less is more when it comes to single-use plastic and rubbish left behind so please bring the minimum to our eco-friendly camp.
  • Torches can come in handy in case the ESB is working on the power lines which has been known to happen!
  • Matches or a lighter come in useful for the stove and BBQ

Unfortunately, due to health and safety, we are not permitted to have open campfire onsite.
